2v2 Random Pairs Team Race

The 2v2 Random Pairs Team Race is a perennial favorite in Newport. Boats register individually but are matched up randomly with team mates throughout the weekend. Saturday's 2v2 action takes place in scenic Mackerel Cove, where boats are matched up with different team mate and opponent with every race. On Sunday, 3v3 teams are created from the results on Saturday for more close team racing right in the heart of Newport Harbor. Great sailing and great spectating!
The event is limited to the first 24 registered and paid boats, however a waitlist will be formed. If 32 registrations are received, we will admit boats 25 through 32, form another waitlist and continue to admit registrants in groups of 4. If 32+ registrations are received we will race on two separate courses to maximize racing.
Report time Saturday is 8:30, competitors' meeting 9:00 and sailing immediately after. The RC will sail until you can't take it anymore. Saturday evening dinner/social TBD, announced at competitors' meeting.
